Rutland Sailability received funding to support the costs of volunteers accompanying disabled Sailors to competition events.
The grant contributed to the cost of volunteers assisting disabled people sailing at the Travellers Trophy events during 2024. There were 10 races that took place over the period from April to October all around the UK.
The grant has enabled Rutland Sailability to support volunteers, which would have been a financial pressure and worry for us as an organisation. It has provided a means to an end and allowed us to continue supporting disabled people with their sailing, and cover the cost of volunteers who give their time to help them.
